Marketing Consultant (December 2017 – Sept 2018)
About:

The creation of Prosper Trading Academy was a very large project for me.  One that showcased my entire set of marketing skills.  In early 2018 I began building the brand, from creating the logo, wireframing both the front-end and back-end website frameworks, to implementing a new CRM system, and building fully functional marketing campaigns.  In March the new website, brand, and company went live.  And over that time I am happy to see the company now flourishing.  In those 6 short months, we were able to take the company from 0 visits to 30,000+ per month.  The business was very sales heavy, so the team needed a steady flow of leads.  I am happy to say that by the time of completing this project, Prosper Trading Academy was bringing in over 11,000+ leads per month, and generating over $500,000 in monthly revenues, and still growing!

The Prosper Trading Academy project showcases my approach to building a business and then efficiently marketing it.  Below I’ve highlighted some of the major pieces of work that went into creating this brand.

Logo & Branding:

The first step of any new business is coming up with a concept.  The second is creating a name, logo, and brand identity.  It’s an important decision because you really can’t go back, at least anytime soon.  We ultimately decided on Prosper Trading Academy, highlighting the P as the logo.  I wanted to have a strong icon so that it could be used across multiple verticles.  In addition, because the name Prosper has been used in many other businesses, I wanted to find a way to distinguish it, so we added a little modernism to the E in the word, giving is a kind of futuristic look.  Below are some of the logo variations we were able to create.

Web Design:

The web functionality for Prosper Trading Academy came in two forms.  The first was the front-end marketing site, and the second was the back-end Online Educational Campus.  The marketing site was completely my responsibility.  The back-end, we already had the majority of the pieces, and only needed to produce new content, which was time-consuming, but not difficult.

The front-end site was built using WordPress, a favorite web designing tool of mine.  We wanted to clearly explain what the company provided, along with driving users to signup for a free lesson, or a tour of the platform.  The main service provided was a live trading room, so we created a number of tablet images to highlight this.  Secondly, I wanted to keep the site simple, so users find interest, but are not overwhelmed.  The site consists of 6 pages, Home/Tour/Programs/Webinars/News/Contact, each geared to talk about the service offers, and then a call to action.

CRM Integration:

From the beginning of this project, I was a huge proponent of using Infusionsoft as the back-end content relationship management software.  I had used it in the past, and strongly felt it was the perfect platform for building this company on.  There are many reasons for this.

Landing Page Development:
Campaign Creation:

With years of landing page development experience, I have learned that the most effective landing pages are ones that house a video.  This is because video content has become so easy to produce, that people are more inclined to want to click on a video and watch the information, rather than read it.  So for this landing page, we used a senior advisor to offer up interest in the presentation.  We then combine a bold headline, sub-headline and additional information on the event.  The registration link is connected to an ever-webinar signup form, structured to offer

Webinar Development:

Working and being successful in the financial space means being effective with email marketing. The audience is much older and so email marketing serves as one of the best ways to promote the business.  This was done through a number of campaigns to the tune of 10 Million+ emails per week, either in the form of a daily newsletter, promotional campaigns, or one of a different number of automated drip campaigns.  This work was primarily done through Act-On.
